KCT Courses Offered

Currently, Kumaraguru College of Technology offers five undergraduate programmes and sixteen postgraduate programmes in different streams. The 11 academic departments of KCT serve as research centres permitting research to students leading to a PhD degree from Anna University.

KCT Courses and Eligibility Criteria

KCT Coimbatore Admissions

Each KCT Coimbatore course, including UG, PG, and Ph.D, has separate eligibility criteria and admission procedures. Candidates should have the required educational qualification and a specific cut-off to appear in the admission process. 

KCT Undergraduate Admission Steps

• Admission to undergraduate courses are made through TNEA counselling conducted by Anna University. 

• Candidates are shortlisted based on the merit of the qualifying examination.

• Final admission will be granted after fee payment and document verification.

KCT Coimbatore PG Admission Process  

• Fill in the application for TANCET and appear in the test.

• The institute makes the final selection based on the counselling process, document verification and fee submission.

KCT Coimbatore Ph.D Admission Process 

• PhD admissions are made by the Centre for Research, Anna University twice a year.

• Candidates have to qualify for a written test/interview.

• Aspirants can consult supervisors associated with the research centres to decide a research topic and get their approval. 

• Selected candidates will get admission in Ph.D programme based on vacancy under the supervisor.

• In case of unavailability of vacancy, the candidate can opt for an alternate supervisor.

KCT Coimbatore Scholarships

KCT Coimbatore scholarships are provided to deserving students enrolled in undergraduate and postgraduate courses via financial assistance. The institute offers Pragati Saksham Scholarship for girl students and specially-abled students. These KCT scholarships offer tuition fees of Rs. 30,000. An amount of Rs. 2000 per month is offered for 10 months each year as an incidental allowance. The fee waiver of Rs. 30,000 to purchase books, software, equipment, laptop, desktop and speech and hearing disabled software (in case of differently-abled students). To avail these scholarships, candidates need to qualify the eligibility criteria and provide the required documents. With these Kumaraguru College of Technology scholarships, the institute aims to empower women and differently-abled people with knowledge, skills and confidence.
